FAQ
How would you describe your style?
My approach is documentary-candid mixed with graceful, editorial portraiture. Throughout the day I'll focus on candid moments as they unfold organically. The best images come when you and your loved ones are present and don't even realise me. If you do, I'll hide so you can experience the fullness of each moment. Occasionally, I will (gently) direct portraits for some of the bigger moments, but my primary intention will always be to capture authenticity.
Do you shoot with a second photographer?
Filmmaking taught me how to cover a scene from all different angles. Weddings taught me how to anticipate the next moment. I work best this way. Unfortunately, I can't be in two different locations at once so if you feel you need simultaneous coverage, I have a shooter ready to go.
How many photographs will we receive?
You can expect around 500+ edited images with all day coverage. I will also create digital duplicates of some of the more cinematic moments so that you can enjoy them in both colour and black and white.
Pricing?
8hrs coverage starts at 3400. Think of it as an investment. For a full price list, get in touch below.
Do you provide prints or albums?
Yes. Beautiful fine art giclée 8x10 (20x25cm) prints on your choice of paper. There is no substitute for quality. I offer fine art albums and absolutely recommend them. Memories like these must find their way off hard-drives and screens. Trust me, you'll enjoy them infinitely more.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
Melbourne, Australia but I'm a life long traveler and pretty good at it by now. I've shot weddings in France, Spain, Hong Kong and all across Australia.
To save you the trouble, I'll organise the flights, taxis, car hire and accommodation for an all inclusive price based on the location of your wedding. It’s always exciting to photograph in new places so don’t let the distance between us deter you. I have two passports (AU & UK)... all we need is a plan.
Can you help with timings on the day?
Of course. I can offer suggestions as the planning takes shape. Where possible I like to meet for a coffee (or video call) a couple of weeks before the wedding to get to know you and go through the finalised run sheet together to make sure the sail is smooth.
Tell me about the analogue photography
I'm a longtime film shooter and if you want me to, I can bring those supreme, nostalgic colour tones to your wedding photos. I use the best film stock IMO, Kodak Portra 400 in a beautiful 50 year old Mamiya camera I call Larry. Here are some samples.
When will I see my photos?
Depending on work load, 3-5 weeks you’ll have the edited digital gallery in your inbox and any prints shipped the following week. Albums take a little longer but are worth the wait.
Now it's your turn to share ;)
